Vice Admiral’s Cup 10th – 12th May 2019 Cowes, Isle of Wight

The Solent based, inshore regatta (primarily for One Design Classes) brings together six classes for three days of intense, close racing across two courses. From the ultra-modern FAST40+ and HP30 classes to hugely refitted and modified IOR Quarter Tonners, competition is notoriously fierce.

Old Gaffer’s Festival 31st May – 2nd June 2019 Yarmouth, Isle of Wight

A colourful event with around 100 traditional gaff-rigged vessels filling Yarmouth Harbour on the Isle of Wight. A great day out.

Round the Island Race 29th June 2019 Cowes, Isle of Wight

The race takes competitors 60nm around the Isle of Wight and draws entrants from all over the world. It is one of the most important fixtures on the yachting calendar. The annual Round the Island Race, organised by the Island Sailing Club, is a one-day yacht race around the Isle of Wight, an island situated off the south coast of England. The race regularly attracts over 1,600 boats and around 16,000 sailors, making it one of the largest yacht races in the world and the fourth largest participation sporting event in the UK after the London Marathon and the Great North and South Runs.

Five race series plus a race round the Island, with magnificent classic yachts from the UK and Europe competing.

Cowes Week 10th – 17th August 2019 Cowes, Isle of Wight

Established in 1826, Cowes Week is the world’s longest running regatta and the UK’s most prestigious sailing event. Organised by the Royal Yacht Squadron, it is as much a fixture on the summer social calendar as the sailing calendar. Cowes Week, actually eight days, attracts entrants from across the world, with around 1,000 racing boats taking part.

Fastnet Race 3rd – 8th August 2019

 The Fastnet Race is a famous biennial offshore yacht race organised by the Royal Ocean Racing Club of the United Kingdom. Generally considered one of the classic offshore races, ‘Fastnet’ is a difficult contest testing both inshore and offshore skills, boat and crew preparation and speed potential. From its inception, the Fastnet Race has proven highly influential in the growth of offshore racing, and remains closely linked to advances in yacht design, sailing technique and safety equipment.

Little Britain Cup 13th – 14th September 2019 Cowes, Isle of Wight

The Little Britain Challenge Cup was established in 1988 and is a sailing regatta for the construction industry. It regularly includes more than 3000 competitors, making it the biggest regatta in the UK after Cowes Week.
